Samsung UE55ES7000

The Samsung UE55ES7000 is version 55 inch Samsung UE40ES7000 we tested.
This model is equipped with an LCD panel and bright LED backlit by side. One of the main functions of this TV is steering through voice and gestures. It works pretty well, but there are still some small failures. The functions are also connected to an appointment with the DLNA and a good media player. The external storage devices formatted with NTFS, and the majority of our HD videos are supported. Only subtitles and chapters sometimes pose problems.

Came under our probes, the slab tested proved to be particularly reactive, with an average persistence time measured at 9.5 ms. Once past the Cinema mode with the temperature set to "Warm 1", the screen displays an accurate colorimetry (average delta E of 3.6) and a good contrast ratio (3070:1). Homogeneity is of good quality (8% change in average which is close to plasma TVs) and viewing angles are a little too close (measured at 2.2 / 5).

Good news, the model tested showed only very little clouding.

The 3D images are of excellent quality. Moreover, the good response of this panel avoids the problems of crosstalk (image duplication).

Its side, the ES7000 is average. That's enough to listen to the programs, but the alteration of high and low frequencies is disturbing in movies. A home theater kit is not too much.

As for consumption, as occurs with Edge LED TVs, it is contained, but there are still more economical.
